The Nakodar Sadar police have booked five persons on the charge of outraging a woman’s modesty.
Investigating Officer (IO) Jasvir Singh said that the accused have been identified as Labhu, Billo, Deepa, Akash, and Shani all residents of Uggi
Armaan a resident of the same village complained to the police that he along with his mother were standing before a Khokha on May 28 morning when the accused attacked him, and his mother tore her clothes and bruised her breast.
IO said that a case under sections 354(assault or criminal force to the woman to outrage her modesty ),323, (voluntarily causing hurt) 451(house trespass )427(mischief), and 148 and 149(rioting) of the IPC has been registered against the accused. No arrests have been made and raids are being conducted to nab the absconding accused.
