Two Jalandhar residents booked for fraud, conspiracy.

 

NAKODAR

 The Nakodar City police have booked two Jalandhar residents on the charges of fraud and criminal conspiracy.

 Station House Officer (SHO) Sanjiv Kapur said that the accused have been identified as Rohan Pande son of Ram Sewak a resident of Rajput Nagar, Model House, Jalandhar City, and Navjot Singh son of Amarjit Singh a resident of Mohalla Lasurri, Tagore International School Road Jalandhar city.

Viral Joshi legal representative of Indian First Life Insurance Company Limited Gurgaon Brihan Mumbai, Maharashtra complained to Jalandhar (rural) Senior Superintendent of Police that the accused with common intentions opened accounts in various banks by submitting fake documents.

The complaint said that the accused sent fake documents to the company to surrender money of various policyholders in fake accounts and thus credited Rs 82,45,512 to these fake bank accounts and committed fraud and were trying to commit fraud of Rs 36 Lakhs more.

SHO said that the SSP ordered an inquiry the superintendent of police (investigation) inquired, and the district attorney (legal) gave his opinion to register a case.

 

SHO said that a case under sections 419(cheating by personation),420(cheating)465,467,468,471(fraud)511(attempting to commit offenses punishable with imprisonment for life)), and 120-B(criminal conspiracy) of the IPC and 66-D of the Information Technology  Act has been registered against the accused.
