The Lohian Khas police have booked two men from a construction company on the charge of theft and committing a crime with common intention.
Investigating officer (IO) Avtar Singh said that the accused have been identified as Mohamad Rajak Kureshi a resident of Urban Estate, Ludhiana, and Davinder Kumar a resident of Chak Des Raj village under Goraya police station Jalandhar district.
Harmesh Lal a resident of Sarhali village in Phillaut Tehsil complained to the Jalandhar Rural) Senior Superintendent of Police that the accused are workers of Gaji Builders Ludhiana who were allotted construction work of construction of a bridge near Nawan Pind Khale Wall village on Lohian -Jako Pur Road and stole his shuttering materials from the bridge site worth lakhs of rupees as he was allotted construction work by PWD given the failure of Gali Builders.
IO said a case under sections 379(theft) and 34 (committing crime with common intention) of the IPC has been registered against the accused after an inquiry.
