The Bilga police station on Wednesday recorded a
heat-related death case in its jurisdiction.
Investigating officer (IO) Satpal said that the deceased had been identified as Gurmit Ram (64) son of Sarup Lal a resident of Ganna Pind village under Phillaur police station.
Vijay Kumar son of the deceased informed the police that his father died in the heat-related attack.
IO said that police acting under section 174 of the Cr. P.C handed over the body to the family after post post-mortem.
