NAKODAR
The Nakodar Sadar police have booked four persons including three women on the charge of abetting the suicide of 30-year-old youth.
Investigating officer (IO) Balvir said that the accused have been identified as Pinki wife of Honi Kumar a resident of Ladhe Wali village under Nakodar Sadar police station and wife of the deceased, Ajay Kumar son of Raj Kumar a resident of New Rattan Nagar, Basti Bawa Khel, Jalandhar, his mother Noshi and sister Anita
Bikram Sharma a resident of Ladhe Wali village and brother of the deceased Honi Kumar complained to the police that his brother Honi Kumar committed suicide on Tuesday as he was repeatedly assaulted and mentally harassed and threatened by the accused and forced him to end his life.
IO said that a case under section 306(abetment of suicide) and 120-B(criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the accused and further investigations are on. The body of the deceased was handed over to the family after post-mortem.
