The Nakodar City police have booked fourteen villagers on the charge of assaulting a villager and his family members.
Investigating Officer (IO) Rajinder Pal Singh said that the arrested accused have been identified as ManaPandit, Sunni Pandit, Roda Pandit Jaskaran alias Mana, and Mangi residents of Pandori Khas village, Karan, Deep, and Sokha all residents of Khurshaid Pur village and their seven unidentified accomplices.
Satnam Singh a resident of Pandori Khas village complained to the police that the accused barged into his house on May 21 night and attacked him and his brother and mother, ransacked house items, and threatened them.
The Investigating Officer said a case under sections 323(voluntarily causing hurt) 452(house-trespass) 506(criminal intimidation)427(mischief) and 148 and 149(rioting) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
The Shahkot police arrested Sukhraj alias Kali of Haji Pur village and booked his fourteen identified and unidentified accomplices for assaulting Manprit Singh of Thooth Garh village in Moga in Marked Godowns Shahkot said IO Gurnam Singh.
