The Lohian Khas police have arrested two miscreants on the charge of snatching a mobile phone from a woman.
Investigating officer (IO) Sukhdev Singh said that the accused have been identified as Gurjant Singh alias Bagga son of Gurtej Singha resident of Jamsher village and Jaspreet Singh alias Jassu son of Malkit Singh a resident of Rai Wal village in Lohian.
Kiran daughter of Surinder Pal a resident of Mohalla Dhomana ward no 4, Lohian Khas complained to the police that she was returning home after work on May 22 evening when two motorcycle-borne accused snatched her phone She raised an alarm and local residents chased the accused nabbed them and handed them over to the police.
IO said a case under sections 379-B (snatching) 411(dishonestly receiving stolen property ) and 34 (committing crime with common intention) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
