NAKODAR
The Nakodar City police have arrested a Shahkot village resident for stealing sand.
Investigating officer (IO) Rajinder Pal Singh said that the accused has been identified as Gora a resident of Parjian Khurd village under Shahkot police station.
Mining inspector Nakodar circle Manpreet Singh in an official communication to the police that the accused was traveling in a tractor trolly loaded with 500 cubic feet of sand stolen at Pandori turning Naka.
IO said that a case under section 21 of the Punjab Mines Act and section 379(theft) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
