The Nurmahal police have booked the husband of a woman on the charge of harassing her.
Investigating officer (IO) V M Singh said that the accused has been identified as Karan Rattu a resident of Mithrra village.
Ramandeep Rattu daughter of Piyara Lal, a resident of the same had filed a complaint to the senior superintendent of police, Jalandhar (rural), that her husband was mentally torturing and harassing her.
. IO said a case under section 498-A (husband or relative of a woman subjecting her to cruelty) has been registered against the accused after an inquiry.
