The Bilga police have booked three persons on charge of assaulting a villager.
Investigating Officer (IO) Ashwani Kumar said that the accused have been identified as Narinder, Happy, and Bhura all residents of Bilga village.
Amrik Singh a resident of Aujla complained to the police that the accused waylaid attacked him on May 15 and injured and threatened him.
IO said that a case under sections 323 and 324(voluntarily causing hurt with weapons) 341(wrongful restraint 506(criminal intimidation) and 34(committing a crime with common intention) of the IPC has been registered against the accused. No arrests have been made and raids are being conducted to nab the accused.
