The Shahkot police have arrested a drug peddler on the charge of selling poppy buds.
. Investigating officer (IO)Balvir Chand said that 1 Kilogram and 800 grams of poppy buds were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Kulwinder Singh alias Kinda son of Kashmir Singh a resident of Thooth Garh village under Dharam Kot police station in Moga.
IO said that a case under sections 15 -B/61/85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused and impounded a motorcycle on which he was traveling with the contraband.
