The Mehat Pur police have booked two miscreants on the charge of stealing cash and jewellery from a woman traveling in a bus house.
Investigating Officer (IO) Davender Singh said that the accused have been identified as Gurpreet Singh son of Resham Singh and Jagdeep Singh son of --`Saab Singh residents of Charrik village in Moga .
Maya Wati wife of Kaka Singh a resident of Mansur Wal Dona village in Kapurthala complained to the police that she was traveling in a bus on May 19 with her relatives to get to a village in Ludhiana district and when the bus reached Adda Mehat Pur the accused stole her purse from a bag which contained Rs 5000, and gold tops measuring 5 grams and fled away.
IO said that a case under sections 379 (theft) and 34 (committing a crime with common intention ) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
