The Nurmahal police on Sunday claimed to have busted a gang of thieves and arrested its three members.
Station Houe Officer (SHO) Varinder Pal Singh Uppal said that the accused have been identified as
Bhupinder Singh alias Bhinda son of Jaswant Singh a resident of Cheema Khurd village, Inderjit Kumar alias Navi son of Ram Murti, and Abhitab Kumar alias Raju son of Krishan Lal both residents of Chuheki village.
SHO said that Harwinder Kumar a resident of Bulland Puri village under Mehat Pur police station complained to the police that the accused Bhinda stole diesel oil from a private bus parked at Nurmahal petrol pump on May 18 night.
Harjinder Singh a resident of Bath village complained to the police that Navi and Raju stole door frames from an uninhibited house of Ravi Kumar of Bundala village.
SHO said that a case under sections 379(theft) 380(theft in dwelling house) and 454(house trespass ) of the IPC has been registered against the accused and recovered 5 litters of diesel and 4 iron door frames have been recovered from the possession of the accused and further investigations are on.
