After some protesters allegedly announced to stop the BJP nominee from entering village Behlewala on Thursday, Hans Raj Hans, the BJP nominee, delivered a highly charged and inflammatory speech in the village invoking casts, religion and social fibre.

He even resorted to the cast and belief and said that his supporters need not fear anybody.

Both the videos, one allegedly by a group of the farm union leaders and another by Hans Raj are nearly objectionable and may lead to the tense atmosphere in the poll bound constituency .

“This is the gratitude of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur that he has enabled(us) to eat the bread. But it does not mean that you disturb your poor brother so much. My language is surely soft, but as far as my works are concerned, Baba Jiwan Singh would speak into all of you,” said Hans Raj Hans, invoking Baba Jiwan Singh, allegedly ignored by the upper caste for his remarkable contribution to Sikhism.

“You need not get nervous from anybody, nor do you need to be afraid of anybody. Give them a reply (the protesters ) on June 1 and get me all replies on June 2 for their atrocities. They (lower caste people )have even been tamed by myself that they should not involve in any dispute with anybody, I even daily make them appeals to stay calm, otherwise the army of Baba Jiwan Singh is not stoppable,” said Hans, in a veiled attack on the protesters that if they continue to disturb his election campaign, his supporters would not tolerate it.

'I have bowed to them, requested them to allow me to campaign, even bent my head before them, but they did not accept,’ said Hans.

“I have even touched their feet, but they continue to do so. After June 2, I would see who the powerful(Khabbikhans) do it. They would not become men without (hitting with) shoes.(Ehna Ne chittran ton bina bande ne banna,” said Hans.

"They have rebuked you today, means that they have rebuked their parents," said Hans pointing towards the harsh speech of the group of protesters.

“You note down my number and if anybody stops you from casting your vote, just call me and I shall handle this situation,” Hans exhorted his supporters in village Behlewala.

He even asked his supporters to note down the details of the protesters so that later on they can be replied in the same way back.

“They(the farmers) think that any son of the poor should not sit into the parliament so that he cannot legislate any laws(regarding land) in favor of them. But now the era would change, those who sit at the back, would sit in front and those who sit in front, would end up sitting at the back,’ said Hans Raj Hans.

When contacted, Gaurav Kakkar, district president of the BJP Faridkot said that the protesters used very unparliamentary language against us.”Even they called us names and their language is beyond acceptance,” you watch their video clip as well.

In that video clip, a group of the farm union activists are seen announcing that  they would not allow Hans Raj Hans, a BJP candidate into the village, whose scheduled visit to the village is at about 3 PM.

“We shall not allow the BJP goons in the village, whether we have to damage their vehicles or slap them on the faces. We also ask that family not to invite the BJP leaders.(Jehre Kutte Bande BJP de Kuttian Bandian nu Behle wale vich enter karan denge,(Those who the dogs would allow the dogs of the BJP in the village), you aware of that matter that BJP is the enemy of all of us small traders, farmers, shopkeepers etc. They martyred our 700 farmers and even fired upon us when we were going to get our genuine demands met,’ announces one of the speakers of the group of five men in the video.

The group leader terms the BJP as an enemy to all.

“A few days back, Gaurav Kakkar, the BJP district president wanted to go to the village, but he was stopped. His vehicles were not allowed to proceed, but when he said that he would go there on foot, even then he was not allowed. So now, out of that protest, Hans Raj Hans had to visit the village which resulted in heated and charged speeches," said a source.

Gaurav Kakkar said that the speech by the BJP candidate may have been as a result of the protesters unacceptable language.

When contacted, Bohar Singh Rupian Wala, district president of the BKU Sidhupur Ekta said that BJP actually wanted to disturb the peace to garner some emotional votes.

“We have asked all our activists to keep a restraint. We have asked them that they should not block any way and rather show them black flags and ask them questions peacefully,” said Bohar Singh.
