The Nakodar Sadar police have arrested two miscreants on the charge of snatching a mobile phone from a migrant worker.
Investigating officer (IO) and Shankar police post in charge Harjit Singh said that the accused have been identified as Rahul Kumar son of Mandip Kumar and Soni son of Tarsem Lal resident of Aallo Wal village. Harpreet Singh a resident of Dherain village complained to the police that he was irrigating his field at Shankar village with his worker Sanjit when two motorcycle-borne accused attacked Sanjit with a sharp-edged weapon and snatched his mobile phone.
IO said a case under sections 379-B (snatching) and 34(committing crime with common intention ) of the IPC has been registered against the accused and recovered a snatched mobile, a sharp-edged weapon, and an impounded motorcycle used in the crime.
