The Lohian Khas police have arrested a villager on the charge of brewing illicit country-made liquor.
The Investigating officer Major Singh said that the accused has been identified as Charan jit Singh a resident of Pipply village .65 lahhan(raw liquor) and utensils for storing /brewing were recovered from his possession. A case under section 61/1/14 of the Excise Act has been registered against the accused.
The Shahkot police booked Gurnam Singh a resident of Thamu Wal village for selling hooch with 18 bottles said IO Sulinder Singh.
