The Faridkot police have booked six persons on the complaint of one Kulwant Singh Mann son of Sohan Singh, resident of Bir Sikhan Wala road,Kothe Mour,near Kotkapura.
The complainant had filed an application with the Senior Superintendent of Police Farikdot alleging that the accused had cheated him more than Rs 1 crore allegedly for purchasing him about 31 acres of land.
After the thorough investigation by the DSP Faridkot, police have booked 6 persons, incling a couple from village Deep Singh Wala under sections 420/465/467/468/471 and 120 B of IPC.
The six accused are Sukhmander Singh son of Tehal Singh and his wife Sukhpreet Kaur, residents of village Deep Singh Wala of Faridkot district,Nacchatar Singh son Joginder Singh, resident of village Bhana of Faridkot,Amritpal Singh son of Raj Singh of Bhikhiwind, district Tarn Taran,Harcharan Singh son of Gurmukh Singh from Jalalabad and Gurjant` Singh son of Balwinder Singh, also a resident of Jalalabad, district Ferozpur.
An FIR in this regard(no 171) has been registered at city police station Faridkot.
