The Shahkot police have arrested two thieves on the charge of stealing wheat bags from a grain market.
Investigating officer (IO) Puran Singh said that the accused have been identified as Hira Singh’ son of Malkit Singh a resident of Kania Kaala village and Surinder Pal Singh alias Pamma son of Dhanpat Rai a resident of Nangal Ambian village.
Mukhtiar Singh, a New Kartar Nagar Shahkot e resident, complained to the police that the accused stole ten bags of wheat (weighing five quintals) from the Sohal Jagir grain market.
IO said a case under section 379 (theft) has been registered against the accused and recovered their possession of 6 bags of stolen wheat.
