Three unidentified looters brutally attacked a Nurmahal shopkeeper before snatching cash from him.
The victim Happy Nayyer a resident of Mohalla Ohriyan complained to the police that he was sitting at his shop when three masked looters attacked him with sharp-edged weapons around 10 PM seriously injured him and looted Rs 6500 and a smartphone.
He said Mohalla residents rushed him to a doctor for medical help.
Station House Officer (SHO)Varinder Pal Singh said the police reached the spot and started investigating the crime.
This brutal attack has created a sense of insecurity and indignation among residents against police functioning and demanded strict action against anti-social elements active in town and areas.
