The Mehat Pur police have arrested a local miscreant and booked his two unidentified accomplices on the charge of stanching a smartphone.
Investigating Officer (IO)Balwinder Singh said that the accused has Harman (30) son of Satnam Singh a resident of Mahat Pur town.
Pinder Singh a resident of Vehran village complained to the police that the accused and his two unidentified accomplices waylaid him in the Mehat Pur bus stand on May 2 evening and snatched his mobile phone.
IO a case under sections 379-B (snatching), and 34(committing crime with common intention) of the IPC has been registered against the accused and his unidentified accomplices and recovered from the snatched phone from the arrested accused.
