The Nakodar Sadar police have arrested a village youth on the charge of kidnapping a minor and criminal conspiracy.
Investigating officer (IO) Balvir Singh said that the accused has been identified as Lovely Preet Singh son of Baldev Singh a resident of Billi Chaharmi village.
Parween Kaur a resident of Rasul Pur village complained to the police that the accused and others had conspired and kidnapped her minor daughter by inducing her.
IO said that a case under sections 363-A (kidnapping or maiming a minor) 366-(Kidnapping, abducting or inducing woman to compel her marriage), and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the IPC was registered against the accused and others.
