The Shahkot police have arrested two looters on the charge of snatching a woman’s gold chain.
Shahkot Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Aamandeep Singh said that the accused have been identified as Jatinder Kumar alia Jiti son of Sarabjit alias Saabi and Harsha Kumar alias Harsh son of Sushil Kumar residents of Mule Wal Arayin village.
Balwinder Kaur wife of Manjit Singh a resident of Parjian Khurd village had complained to the police that two d motorcycle-borne accused waylaid him on Parjian Khurd Gate and her village road on the April 25 evening and snatched her gold chain measuring 2.5 grams weapons and fled away.
DSP said that a case under section 379-B(snatching) and 34(committing a crime with common intention) of the Indian Penal Code was registered against the accused and recovered from their possession of 101 grams of heroin and impounded a motorcycle.
