The Nakodar City police have booked two brothers on the charges of assaulting a woman.
Investigating officer (IO) Sarabjit Singh said that the accused have been identified as s Satvir alia JE son of Somi a resident of Mohalla Rishi Nagar Nakodar and his bother Sunni.
Sonia wife of Romi a resident of the same locality Sukhdev a resident of the same village complained to the police that she went to Dera Bapu Lal Badshah to pay her obeisance on the April 27 evening when the accused waylaid her and used abusive language against her and when she questioned the accused assaulted her.
IO said a case under sections 323, (voluntarily causing hurt),341(wrongful restraint) and 34(committing crime with common intention) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
