The first randomization of election staff to be deployed during the Lok Sabha Election 2024 was conducted today at the District Administrative Complex here in the presence of District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal.
The District Election Officer said that to complete the election of Lok Sabha constituency Jalandhar properly, randomization of 10690 polling staff has been done by CEO Punjab's software Nextgen Dice. He said that the election staff will be given training about their election duty in 2 shifts at the designated training place designated at the Assembly constituency level.
The Deputy Commissioner said that voting for the Lok Sabha elections will be held on June 1, for which nominations will be received from May 7 to 14. Scrutiny of nomination papers will be done on May 15, after which nominations can be withdrawn on May 17 and the counting of votes will be done on June 4.
The District Election Officer further said that the district administration is committed to conducting the entire election process in a free, fair, and transparent manner, for which elaborate arrangements will be ensured in the district.
On this occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Major Dr. Amit Mahajan, DIO Ranjit Singh, Deputy DEO Rajiv Joshi, Election Tehsildar Sukhdev Singh, Election Kanungo Rakesh Kumar were also present.
