Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal today conducted a thorough review of the Health Department's operations, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive plan to combat vector-borne diseases, particularly during the monsoon season. The DC highlighted the importance of promptly devising a robust mechanism to address ailments such as dengue and chikungunya. He reiterated that no stone to be left unturned to keep people far from these diseases. 


Furthermore, Dr. Aggarwal directed health officials to ensure hassle-free treatment for patients at government hospitals, underscoring the administration's commitment to providing accessible healthcare services.


During the review, the DC also evaluated progress under various health programs, including the National Program for Climate Change and Human Health, Disaster Management, Integrated Disease Surveillance Program (IDSP), Maternal and Child Health Indicators, National Tuberculosis Elimination Program (NTEP), and TB Form.


He emphasized the administration's responsibility to deliver high-quality healthcare facilities to the people of Jalandhar.
