The Nakodar Sadar police have booked a father-son duo for dowry harassment.
Investigating officer (IO) Pardeep Kumar a resident of Lagrayin Patti village under Chabe Wal police station in Hoshiar Pur district and his father Harbakakh Singh.
Harpreet Kaur wife of Pardeep Singh now living in Bopa Rai village e complained to the police that her husband and father-in-law were harassing her for more and more dowry.
IO said that a case under sections 406 (breach of trust) and 498-A (husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the accused after an inquiry.
