NAKODAR
A standing wheat crop on more than two acres was gutted in a fire in Mallian Kalan village on Wednesday. Residents and the fire brigade controlled the fire which was caused by a short circuit in a combine harvester working nearby. The crop belonged to farmer Jasvir Singh Shira son of Mohinder Singh who has demanded adequate compensation.
