Villager  booked as his  pet dog bites village girl

 

NAKODAR

The Nakodar City police have booked a villager after his pet dog reportedly bit his co-village girl.

Investigating Officer (IO)Rarinder Pal Singh that the  accused has been identified as Binder son of Karnail Singh a resident of Dherin village.

  Anup Singh a resident of the same village complained to the police that a dog owned by Binder bit his granddaughter Manpreet Kaur on April 16 four times

 

IO said a case under Section 289 (negligent conduct concerning animals) of the IPC has been registered against Binder. Under Section 289, a dog owner can be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to six months or with a fine which may extend to Rs 1,000 or with both.
