The entrance road from gate number 1 of the grain market Kotkpura is awaiting its completion.
The road was dug up for its elevation after the Vidhan Sabha Speaker granted about Rs 40 lakh for it because it was mostly inundated with water in rains.
But the road has been dug up, leaving it awaiting for its completion when the main season of the procurement of the wheat has set in.
It is now dusty and if it rains, it would be more problematic for the farmers and the others.The unearthing of the road has left it pot-holed.
Even a few hundreds of metres of the road which was supposed to be rebuilt is hanging fire in the middle.Some interlock tiles can be seen stockpiled on the left side of the road, while the work seems to be at stand still.
“We want the immediate completion of the road because it is one of the main approaches to the market. Thousands of vehicles ply on it and it must be completed right now,” said a farmer wishing not to be named.
