The Shahkot police have booked a vendor on charges of causing grievous hurt by an act endangering the life or personal safety of others, rash driving on the public road, and mischief.

Investigating officer (IO) Parwinder Singh said that the accused has been identified as Manpreet Singh son of Gurdev Singh a resident of Kotla Suraj Mall.

Jang Sher Singh a resident of Dhando Wal village complained to the police that the accused was driving his Jugarru Vend very fast and negligently and hit him in his village on March 25 late evening and seriously injured him.

 

IO said a case under sections 279 (rash driving on public roads) 337 and 338 (causing grievous hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others), and 427 (mischief) of the IPC has been registered against Manpreet Singh.
