The Mehat Pur police have booked 29 persons including 12 women for encroaching land.
Investigating Officer (IO) Jaspal singh said that 27 accused are residents of Burte Dian Chhana village and two accused are residents of Bhode village under Bilga police station.
Balwant Singh a resident of the Bute Dian Chhana village complained to the police that the accused encroached on his land assaulted and threatened IO said a case 447 (criminal trespass) 323(voluntarily causing hurt ) 506(criminal intimidation )511(attempting to commit offenses punishable with imprisonment for life or another imprisonment) and 148 and 149(rioting) of the IPC have been registered against the accused.
