The Nurmahal police have booked a villager on charges of assaulting women.
Investigating officer (IO) Jagjit Singh said that the accused has been identified as Gurmail Singh son of Chanann Singh a resident of Kot Badal Khan village
Ramanjit Kaur wife of Dharam Pal a resident of the same village complained to the police that the accused assaulted him and his sister-in-law on April 4 and seriously injured and threatened them.
IO said a case under sections 323 324 (voluntarily causing hurt with dangerous weapons or means) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
