District Election Officer cum Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal today said that the district administration had received as many as 90 complaints on the C-vigil app and all these were redressed within the stipulated time frame.
Divulging more, the DEO said that said that three complaints were received in the Adampur assembly segment, 17 in Jalandhar Cantt, 21 in Jalandhar Central, 18 in North, 13 in Jalandhar West, five in Kartarpur, two in Nakodar, eight in Phillaur, snd three in Shahkot assembly constituencies. All these complaints have been resolved by AROs within the given period of 100 minutes.
District Election Officer Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal also appealed to the people to report any sort of violation related to the model code of conduct on the C-vigil app for speedy redressal.
He said that besides the C-vigil app, the District Administration had also set up a complaint cell in the district administrative complex for the facilitation of people.
He said that people can download this app from the Play Store and file complaints concerning MCC violations with proof including photo and video, which is addressed within 100 minutes as per the guidelines of the Election Commission of India.
