Unidentified miscreants on Wednesday morning cheated a BJP leader and prominent jeweler of Nakodar town of golden ornaments.
President of BJP Jalandhar Rural Munish Dheer who is running a cloth and jewelry business complained to the police. that he received a WhatsApp call regarding the opening of the shop as he wanted to buy some jewelry.
Dheer said that he replied to the caller that he begins business at 10.30 AM. He said that the caller again phoned and introduced himself Manager SBI Bank Nakodar branch requesting designs and said he liked designs and asked to send two rings.
Dheer said he sent two rings by hand, asked his employee to bring cash, and gave him a mobile number.
The complainant said that cheaters were waiting in the car outside the showroom and after receiving rings fled away.
Dheer said his employees noted the number of car used by cheaters adding that rings were worth 1.5 Lakh.
