NAKODAR
The Mehat Pur police have booked a drug peddler on the charge of selling poppy husk. Investigating officer (IO)Paramjit Singh said that 8.100 kilograms of poppy husk was recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Gurbachan Singh son of Surat Singh a resident of Umare Wal village who managed to flee from the spot.
IO said a case under section 15(b) /61/85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused.
