The Mehat Pur police have six persons on the charge of stealing Panchayati bricks.
Investigating Officer (IO) Davinder Singh said that the accused have been identified as Sukhwinder Singh alias Sukha a resident of Bangi Wal village and his five unidentified accomplices.
Joga Singh former Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Rai Pur Arian village complained to the police that the accused stole bricks stored for development works on March 8 night in a tractor trolly.
IO said that a case under section 379(theft) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
