A twenty-year-old youth committed suicide on Saturday.
Investigating officer (IO) Kashmir Singh said that the deceased has been identified as Rajwinder Singh alias Sonu son of Pipal Singh a resident of Asmail Pur village.
Manjit Kaur mother of the deceased told the police that his son was mentally upset and consumed some poisonous substance and died.
IO said that the police acting under section 174 of the Cr. P.C handed over the body to the family after post-mortem.
