Punjab Local Bodies Minister Balkar Singh today laid the foundation stone of several development projects in villages falling under Kartarpur Assembly Constituency. The Minister visited village Kotla wherein he kick-started sewerage and interlocking projects, followed by renovation of ponds in village Awadaan. Likewise, he also laid foundation stone of laying interlocking tiles, sewerage system, and construction of Dharamshala in Bada Pind.
Addressing the gathering, Balkar Singh said that the Punjab Government led Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann was committed to delivering cities like infrastructure in the villages.
He mentioned that these projects will solve the major problem of the sewerage system in these village besides providing new streets. He mentioned that several development projects have already been initiated by the government to strengthen basic infrastructure in villages.
He also stated that with the execution of these projects, people will get better facilities including drainage of wastewater, and new streets in this village.
