NURMAHAL

The Nurmahal police have arrested four persons including three juveniles on the charges of attacking police and freeing the arrested accused from custody.

Station House Officer (SHO) Varinder Pal Singh said that the accused has been identified as Mohamad Sipahi son of Mohamad Sai a resident of Chema Kala village and his three juvenile accomplices.

The Station House Officer of Purana Shala police station in Gurdas Pur Shash Pal Singh said in his statement that he and his police team received information that an accused identified as Saif Ali alias Saifu son of Yusuf a resident of Bundala village under Nurmahal wanted in a case of kidnapping registered in Purana Shala police station was hiding at Chemma Kalan village.

He said in his statement that the police team reached Dera of Mohamad Sai outside Cheema Kalan village and identified accused Saif Ali alias Saifu and arrested him.

Shash Pal Singh said he and his team were coming to Nurmahal for a competing police action when a Bolero SUV driven by Mohamad Sai in which five young persons were sitting with sharp-edged weapons intentionally hit a police vehicle and forcibly freed Saifu from police custody after attacking police persons.

He said he identified all accused after investigation and action should be taken against the accused.

 

 

Nurmahal SHO said that a case under sections),186(obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions),,353(assault or use of criminal force to deter a public servant from discharge of his duty,225(resistance or obstruction by a person to his lawful apprehension.) 120-B( criminal conspiracy and 341 (wrongful restraint ) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the accused and main accused Saifu and conspirator Mohamad Sai who is absconding.
