The Lohian Khas police have arrested a couple on the charge of assaulting a woman.
The Investigating Officer (IO) Kashmir Singh said that the accused have been identified as Nirwair Singh a resident of Chak Wadala village and his wife Paramjit Kaur.
Parmod Singh a resident of the same village had complained to the police that the accused barged into his house on April 15, 2023, and attacked his wife Gitta injured her, and attacked him when he intervened.
IO said a case under sections 323, 325 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt) and 34(committing crime with common intention) of the Indian Penal Code was registered against the accused.
