The Nakodar Sadar police have booked two persons for assaulting a villager.
Investigating Officer (IO)and Uggi police post in charge Balbir Singh said that the accused have been identified as Kamaljit Singh a resident of Narang Pur village and Jagjit Singh a resident of Nur Pur Jattan village in Kapurthala.
Sital Singh a resident of Narang Pur village complained to the police that the accused waylaid and assaulted and barged into his house attacked him with weapons injured him and threatened with dire consequences.
IO said that a case under sections 323, (voluntarily causing hurt),341(wrongful restrain) 452(house trespass),506(criminal intimidation), and 34(committing a crime with common intention) of the ipc has been registered against the accused.
