NAKODAR
The Nakodar Sadar police have booked three persons on charges of rash driving, mischief, and assaulting the victim.
Investigating officer (IO) Major Singh said that the accused have been identified as Navjiwan Singh alias Nanak a resident of Mudh village, Sunni, and Laddi.
Som Natha resident of the same village complained to the police that the accused was driving his SUV very fast and negligently on February 27 hit his auto rickshaw near Mudh village gate and seriously injured and assaulted him.
IO said that a case under sections 279(rash driving on the public highway),337,338(causing grievous hurt by endangering life or personal safety of others) 427(mischief) 323,325(voluntary causing grievous hurt), and 34 (committing the crime with common intention) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
