The Lohian Khas police have arrested a villager and booked his wife and son on a charge of selling and brewing illicit liquor.
Investigating Officer Bhajan Singh said that 10 bottles of illicit country-made liquor, 70 kilograms of Lahann (raw liquor), and utensils for brewing were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Jiwan Singh a resident of Pipply village.
A case under section 61/1/14 of the Excise Act has been registered against the accused and his wife Kulwant Kaur and Sonu who managed to flee from the spot.
