The Nakodar Sadar police arrested a Dehli resident on the charge of attempt to murder, firing, and rioting.
Investigating officer (IO)Manjit Singh said that the accused has been identified as Rajnish alias Ravi son of Bhagat Singh a resident of Mohan Garden, Delhi.
Harnek Singh a Canada-based NRI and native of Chak Kalan village had complained to the police that the accused riding a motorcycle attacked him with a firearm to kill and seriously injured him on September 3, 2023, near Shankar Pulli when he was returning home in his vehicle.
IO said a case under sections 307(attempt to murder) and 148 and 149(rioting) of the Indian Penal Code and sections 25/27/54/59 of the Arms Act was registered against the accused and others.
