Lok Sabha Member Sushil Kumar Rinku today visited the Lamma Pind Chowk to Jandu Singha Road wherein he directed the officials of the PWD department to start the construction of this 5.06 kilometers stretch at the earliest.
Giving more information, the MP said that the work of this 5.06 km long road will be completed here at Rs 27.14 crore. During his spot visit, Mr. Rinku directed the officials of various departments to execute this project on a war footing to provide relief to thousands of commuters who face trouble while traveling on this road. He also held a meeting with SDM Dr. Jai Inder Singh, Executive Engineer Jaspal Singh, Gurmeet Singh, and officials of various departments including the Forest Department. He further stated that many people travel daily to Hoshiarpur and Himachal Pradesh through this road.
The MP told the officials that the construction of this road should be started as soon as possible so that the commuters going towards Hoshiarpur do not have to face any kind of problem. The MP said that strict instructions have already been issued to the officials regarding the quality of the road and they have been told that any kind of compromise regarding the quality of this road will not be tolerated. He asked senior officials to regularly review the ongoing road construction work.
The MP further said that with the construction of this road, it will be very convenient for the commuters coming from Hoshiarpur including Adampur, Jandu Singha as they will not need to come to Jalandhar city via Ramamandi Chowk. He further said that the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann was continuously doing development work and the government has no shortage of funds for development. He said that the road system was being strengthened to connect the villages with the major cities.
