It is pertinent to mention here that the 30-bed Mother Child Hospital (MCH) at the Nakodar Civil Hospital is ready for inauguration. Still, the inauguration ceremony has been delayed for more than ten months as the expected VVIP has not indicated the dates on which the program could be held. The Punjab Health Systems Corporation constructed this building at Rs 6 crores the foundation stone of which was laid down by then Nakodar MLA Gurpartap Singh Wadala on August 1, 2014. Notably, the building was handed over to the health department, but it is lying unutilized. The administration was trying to get the chief minister to inaugurate the center.
