The Criminal Investigating Agency (CIA) of the Jalandhar (rural) police have arrested a drug peddler on the charge of selling heroin.
Investigating Officer (IO) Pipal Singh said that 170 grams of heroin were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Gurpreet Singh alias Gopi son of Sukhdev Singh a resident of Mohkam Ararian Wala village under Makhu police station in Feroze Pur district.
IO said that a case under section 21(b) /61/85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused at Lohian Khas police station and impounded his car in which he was traveling with the contraband.
