NAKODAR
The Nakodar Sadar police have booked a villager on the charge of stealing cash and jewellery from house a shop.
Investigating Officer (IO) Janak Raj said that the accused has been identified as Pappu son of Surati a resident of Hairan village.
Mukhtiar Singh a resident of the same village complained to the police that the accused barged into his house on February 12 late evening and stole Rs 4.60 Lakhs cash and jewellery.
IO said a case under sections 457 (lurking house-trespass) and 380(theft in dwelling house) of the IPC has been registered against the accused and riads and is being made to arrest the absconding accused.
