The Nurmahal police have booked six persons on charges of voluntarily causing hurt, , mischief, and rioting.
Investigating officer (IO) Omesh Kumar said that the accused had been identified as Hapy, Hairry, and Prit Pal all residents of Uppal Khalsa village, Ranjha a resident of Kot Badal Khan village, and their two unidentified accomplices.
Deepak Kumar a resident of Natt village complained to the police that the accused attacked him on February 12 on the ground and seriously injured him.
IO said that a case under sections, 323(voluntarily causing with dangerous weapons or means), 427(mischief) 48 and 149(rioting) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
