NCC cadets felicitated who participated in Republic Day parade.

 

 

JALANDHAR

2 Punjab, N. C. C. Battalion, Jalandhar felicitated the cadets who participated in

Republic Day Delhi with tracksuits and medals at the battalion headquarters.

Colonel Vinod Joshi, Commanding Officer said that this is the biggest national camp of NCC. For

this camp, the practice camps started in October, at least four months before. This national camp consists of five main competitions which include an escort drill on Kartavya Path, Prime Minister rally, selection of best cadet, cultural program, and flag area briefing.

Commanding officer Colonel Vinod Joshi further said that NCC is the largest youth organization in the world. About 2200 NCC cadets participate in this national camp at Delhi every year. Lt. Col. Daljit Aulakh, Administration Officer said that Sergeant Abhishek Kumar, Lyallpur Khalsa College, and Cadet Om Singh, J. K.M. S. College Tanda, participated in the Prime Ministers Rally. After the parade, Prime Minister Shri Narendra

Modi held a group discussion with the cadets.

 

Cadet Mehek Arora, DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology gave a special and outstanding performance in the cultural program. Chandigarh. Cadet Chetan Pasi, of Cantt Board Senior Secondary School, performed well as a drummer in the presentation of Bhangra. Drill Master Subedar Chandrabhan and Havildar Epidermal Singh from the Battalion have made a special contribution to Republic Day Delhi. They prepared the cadets for military drills and other competitions. The battalion also arranged high tea for the cadets.
